Manuel V. Pangilinan (born July 14, 1946 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino businessman. He is the Chairman of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, the Philippines's largest telecommunications company, from 1990 up to the present.
Pangilinan graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He received his MBA degree in 1968 from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania.
Manuel Pangilinsn has interests in regional banking, property and telecommunications through Hong Kong-based First Pacific. In 1999, he was ranked 39th in the Aisaweek Power 50 and in 2006, was selected as the "Management man of the year” by the Management Association of the Philippines.
